What is the RRHS Band Parents Association?
The RRHS Band Parents Association is a service organization formed to promote the entire band program of Ronald Reagan High School and to assist the Band Directors and the school administration in the development of an outstanding band program. Everry band parent is a member of the RRHSBPA!
How can I help to develop an outstanding band program?
Volunteer, fundraise, and communicate!
All volunteers are required by NEISD to complete a Colunteer Criminal History Record Check form, available at https://portal.neisd.net/vchrc/. If you are considering being a Reagan Band volunteer, and we hope you are, please follow the link and follow the steps provided. Once you have received conformation and a volunteer id, please let the committee in which you are volunteering know your number.
A major portion of our BPA revenues come from operating concession stands at North East's Blossom Athletic Center Complex and the new Heroes Stadium. All NEISD high school band parent groups are required to operate concession stands. The BPA provides staff for concession standst all of our home football games, which may require up to 36 volunteers per game. Other events where concession stands are worked include basketball, soccer, track, baseball and special events. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Jorge and Debbie Garza.
Chaperoning is a great way to feel involved with the band and to get to know the terrific band students we have! NEISD requires us to provide chaperones to meet a 12-1 student/chaperone ratio. Opportunities to chaperone include football games, band trips, The opportunity to chaperone for the annual band trip will first be offered to those who are most active in the BPA's activities throughout the year, subject to the Band Director's approval. If you have any questions regarding chaperoning, feel free to contact Tonya Cowger or Shirley Williams.
There are thre key aspects of fundraising for the Reagn Band: the Band Patron Fund, the Corporate Sponsorship Fund, and the Student Program Fee. Other opportunites to fundraise are also available throughout the year and are covered in the Student Fundraising section below.
- Band Patron Fund
This fund provides the opportunity for our band parents to make an additional donation by becoming a Band Patron. The Band Patron fund levels are:
Silver Level $50.00
Gold Level $100.00
Platinum Level $150.00
Diamond Level $200.00 and above
All donations to the band are tax-deductible. Please check with your place of business to see if charitable donations to nonprofit organizations are matched.
- Corporate Sponsorship Program
Corporate Sponsorship offers a tremendous opportunity to involve our business community in the financial support of our Band Program. A communtiy that supports its educational endeavors provides sustainable growth and will be publicly recognized at each band parent meeting and concert, as well as on the Band website. If there is any business with which you work, are connected to, or frequent, let us know about it!
Are you ready to become a Corporate Sponsor? Send in this form!
The Band Parent Association collects a Student Program Fee (SPF) from every band student. The purpose of this fee is to distribute the budgeted expenses more equitably throughout the band. If you've not yet done so, please read, sign, and return the SPF form.
Student fundraisers are designed to provide opportunities for the student to riase money to help defray costs of band trips. Trip costs fluctuate from year to year, but various fundraising efforts are organized throughout the year and we encourage each student to participate in those fundraisers that are most appealing. This year, the fundraisers include:
-- The 2011-2012 Enjoy the City book (starting Sept. 1)
-- Super Saver Cards (November)
-- Ground-to-Cup Coffee (all year, online)
-- Candy Bars (Feb. 2012)
-- Frozen Fruit Bars (all year after school)

Check your emails! We consistently send out information via email so make sure we have an up to date email address. We also want to hear from you! Don't hesitate to contact the Band Directors or Committee or Board members with any questions or concerns.
