Symphonic Band Test
January 4th – 7th
-During the Holiday break it is your responsibility to learn portions of next semester’s concert music.
-You will be tested over the selected excerpts listed below.
-The results of this test will be used to determine final part assignments for the ENTIRE spring semester.
-This assignment will also be a TEST GRADE.
-You will need to sign up for an audition time (before/after school and Lunches) with Mr. Daffinee and Mr. White.
-You will be asked to play your instruments’ specified excerpt, with a metronome (Tempos and cuts can be found below).
-You will be graded on:
-Note accuracy (20 pts.)
-Accuracy of Rhythms (20 pts.)
-Tone Quality (20 pts.)
-Dynamics and Phrasing (20 pts.)
-Style and Articulation (20 pts.)
