The Ronald Reagan High School Marching Band Continues Its Strong Season

On October 10th, the Ronald Reagan High School Marching Band continued its strong start to the marching season by winning the 2015 Texas Marching Classic in Round Rock, Texas.  The annual Texas Marching Classic has become one of the most competitive contests in the state, hosting numerous State and Nationally renowned marching band programs.

In the afternoon’s preliminaries competition, Reagan took home the awards for Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Colorguard and Outstanding Drumline for the 6A Classification.  In the evening’s finals competition (the top 10 scoring bands from preliminary competition regardless of classification) Reagan brought home outstanding Visual Performance, Music Performance and the Grand Championship Trophy.

This is the second straight competition that Reagan has taken the top overall place, the first being the Bands of America Competition in Conroe, Texas.  Up next for the Reagan Band is the annual UIL Region Contest at Judson ISD Stadium this Saturday, October 17th.  Reagan will perform at 4:00pm.

The Reagan Band has been working extremely hard since the beginning of August to make this marching season special, and so far it has been a huge success!  The Band would like to thank Reagan Principal, Mrs. Brenda Shelton, and the entire administration team for their continued support.
